"Manek Baba: A Puppetry Narrative"
A captivating collaboration between Scrapyard Theatre, Shadow Puppetry, and patric Sim inspired by the legendary Manek Baba of Ahmedabad.

This innovative performance combines traditional shadow puppetry techniques with modern storytelling and puppetry styles, exploring themes or human condition, when all the commons of fables, myths, parables and stories are tending to disappear. Manek baba myth retelling through a collaborative puppetry will also be a tribute to oral memory, a lived era.

The installation will be built using bamboo as the framework, with layers of fabric and paper adding texture and dimension. It will tower over Gate 10, serving as both a welcome and a statement - a powerful visual prelude to the festival's commitment to exploring boundaries through art while also symbolising the festival's overarching theme: Art Leads
